The second Sensor Node consists of a weatherproof housing mounted on a pergola structure in the garden. Within the box there is a WeatherDuino transmitter (TX1), powered by a stabilised 12 volt DC source from a solar panel via Sensor Node 3. The weatherproof housing chosen for this node (CamdenBoss 7200-218C) has a transparent lid which allows the TX LED to be checked from the house.
