The weather station is in a suburban garden at the the northern edge of Bridport, a small town in Dorset, UK. The site is towards the top of a west-facing slope between two low hills, Watton Hill and Coneygar Hill. The weather station has two transmitter boxes, one fixed to a structure in the garden and the other fixed to the side of the house. Sensors of various types are attached to these transmitters and data are sent wirelessly to a receiver within the house. A Raspberry Pi computer adjacent to the receiver is on 24/7 to process the data further and upload data to the internet. Data are stored in a mySQL database and can be visualised on my personal website and on the MetOffice WOW website.
